AORA
AORA is an eight-bedroom hotel located in the coastal landscape of San Pancho, Nayarit.
Limited space required for the design to follow a rigorous structural logic: eight exposed concrete columns that frame and order the entire project. This intentional simplicity liberates the ground floor, creating a permeable common area. By concentrating the architecture into its most essential elements, AORA offers a monolithic presence that prioritizes natural ventilation, raw textures, and a direct connection to the Pacific coast environment.
The guest rooms at AORA redefine the traditional hotel suite through high-performance spatial planning. By integrating circulation paths directly into the bedroom layout, the design eliminates wasted square footage. The sleeping areas are conceived as compact, cabin-like pods—a typology that prioritizes the essential act of rest while maximizing common areas. This intelligent floor plan enhances the guest's spatial experience, offering a sense of intimacy and sanctuary within the broader minimalist concrete framework of the building.
